240 test positive, J&K Covid-19 tally is 9,501

Srinagar, July 10 (IANS) A total of 240 people tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday as the total number of Covid-19 patients reached 9,501 in the Union Territory, officials said.


Northeast’s Covid-19 tally rises to 18,665

Guwahati/Shillong, July 10 (IANS) Meghalaya on Thursday joined the northeastern states in reaching a three-digit figure of coronavirus infections with 13 more persons testing positive while the northeast region saw its tally rise to 18,665 with 32 deaths.

Plea in SC for live Amarnath darshan through internet and TV

New Delhi, July 9 (IANS) A plea has been moved in the Supreme Court seeking restriction on the access of the general public/devotees in this year's Amarnath Yatra due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The petitioners have also sought direction to the Centre to provide 'live darshan' of the shrine through internet and television.
